Our centre operates throughout the week to assist those who are directly impacted and can benefit from our programmes and respite care. I have a cognitive condition
The Stay Connected Activity Centre is for you! It is purpose built facility to assist you with a range of stimulating activities to keep your mind active. Our transport bus is here to transport you to and from our centre safely and to provide interesting outings.
I am a carer
We understand the concerns you might have over your loved one attending our Centre and we have tried to answer many of your questions. We are hoping this reassures you we are qualified at what we do, and always maintain a high level of safety. We spend time getting to know you and our clients so we can tailor our programmes to each person in our care.
I am a health professional
In your role as a health care provider, we understand the issues you might face in diagnosing and providing subsequent care of your patients and their families as they travel on this journey together. We aim to support you with as much information as you may need in your decision to refer patients to our Centre.

Stay Connected
Activity Centre?
A dedicated centre in Port Stephens, specialising in providing those with dementia and memory loss, activities to stimulate their minds to maintain mental, social and emotional connections.
Making Connections
Making connections with certain parts of our brains keeps us functioningy optimally.
Activities to Defeat Memory Loss
Activities are centred around the benefits to the individual’s needs and are tailored to each client within a safe space.
Stimulating Outings
Providing stimulating outings in our specialised bus assists clients to become less house bound and give back a sense of freedom.
Who is it for?
Memory Loss
If you have a loved one suffering from memory loss, we can help.
Dementia
If you have a loved one who has been diagnosed with Dementia, get in contact, our programmes are designed for Dementia patients to assist in cognitive decline.
Respite for Carers
If you are a carer, we can offer respite for a few hours, 1/2 days and full days, so you can do what you need to do.
Aged Care
Our staff are experts in helping our seniors. Our programmes are ideal to keep our clients socially active and enjoying life.
How can I access the Centre?
To access the Stay Connected Activity Centre, contact Maraya directly as a first step.
The Centre accepts both private clients and also those using their Home Care or NDIS Packages.
Centre staff will be able to assist with any of these options and provide advice on the best way to access the services we provide.
On Site Parking
Our Centre has convenient on site parking with only a 10 metre walk to our front door. It is easily accessible for a range of abilities. Street access is via Shearwater Drive.
Easy Access
Our ground floor location ensures easy access to our centre and is suitable for a range of abilities. Full kitchen and bathroom facilities are also on the same ground floor level.
Fully Qualified Staff
Our staff are not only caring and friendly, but highly qualified and skilled. You can rest assured leaving your loved ones in our care. We have their best interest at heart.
Safe
Above all, our Centre is safe and inside the building. Our kitchen is fully equipped and maintained with all necessary safety equipment to ensure our client’s safety at all times.
Current Providers We Work With
Fees can be privately paid or we can invoice your Home Care Provider providing you have funding available in your Home Care Package.
If your Home Care Provider is not listed please contact Maraya at Stay Connected Activity Centre to start the process.

& Caring Staff
Led by our Centre Owner, Meagan Harding and our Centre Manager, Maraya Fameli, our clients are in very qualified, capable and caring hands.
- Our clients are completely safe and supervised at all times.
- All activities are planned to be interesting, fun and non-repetitive so our clients will never be bored!
- External outings in our bus are scheduled ahead of time leaving plenty of time to get organised to join in the fun
- Whilst our clients are encouraged to come as often as they can to obtain the most benefit from our schedule, there is no pressure from our centre or staff to participate in any activity.
